“Picture This Photo Contest” Oct 2011

This months photography theme at  GGW http://www.gardeninggonewild.com/?p=18762#more-18762

is “Fill the Frame”, and here is my competition entry taken last year in the Patch:

Yucca recurvifolia crowns a gazing ball that perches precariously on a wizened cedar stump surrounded by fall aster. The golden centers of the aster echo the ball.

Celosia rockets add movement and salvia leucantha strains to get into the scene.

Great shot! – Enjoying not only the composition, but also the colors at play. Also like that this is a self portrait of a sort – your reflection captured in the gazing ball just adds to the overall fun here.

    Hi TD.

Thanks and glad you like the image.

I forgot I was lurking in that golden reflective gazing ball, but you know that is now my actual height after one of the Naboo accidentally hit me with one of their “Honey, I Shrunk the Gardener” darts.
